From my personal experience it causes weirdness and a strange animosity for both the ex and the friend. The friend rest assured me assured, but the relationship with the friend and the friends ex ended, cause I had enough of the drama and hearing the hurtful things about the ex and the hurtful things abut the friend. It drove wedge between me and my friend and me and the ex. I had enough of the drama, even after I dumped the ex I did not feel the same about my friend. I will never do it again.

Dating a friend’s ex would be nasty in my opinion b/c it would mean that I’m only getting sloppy seconds (cliche..lol) and a friend dating my ex would only cause me ask more questions like if they had something going on when we were together…
